Santa Paula Community Bank, a division of Ojai Community Bank is pleased to announce that Dan Givens has joined Santa Paula Community Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer. “We are excited to have Dan join the bank as part of our successful loan team. Expanding our presence in Ventura County has long been a goal for us and with our new expansion into Santa Paula, Dan now brings the bank’s local loan decision making practices to Santa Paula clients,” said Don Scanlin, Chairman of the Board of Ojai Community Bank

Ojai Community Bank recently purchased two branches of Santa Barbara Bank and Trust in Santa Paula. The transaction closed on October 24, 2008, and both branches are open as Santa Paula Community Bank. The addition of Dan will provide the residents of Santa Paula with excellent access to their individual credit needs.

Givens holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma University. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, SBA loan management, branch management and financial planning. Dan lives in Camarillo with his wife Ruth and has two grown children and two grandchildren. He is an active member of the Rotary Club, past member of theatre and church boards and continues serving the community at large whenever possible.

Ojai Community Bank is a locally owned community bank founded in 2005. Santa Paula Community bank, a division of Ojai Community Bank, offers full banking services from two locations in Santa Paula. The bank continues the tradition of donating $25, for each new account opened, to a local charity of the account holder’s choice. “This really gives the local community the power to direct donations to the non-profit service provider they feel needs their support” says Scanlin. Ojai Community Bank offers a variety of competitive deposit and lending solutions for businesses and consumers: consumer loans, business loans and lines of credit, credit cards, merchant services, online banking and cash management. “The newest division, Santa Paula Community Bank, gives us the opportunity to provide the residents of Santa Paula with a style of banking that makes a difference in their lives.”

Ojai Community Bank has been designated one of the top ten de novo banks in the country in 2007 and small business of the year in 2007 by the Ojai Chamber of Commerce. Ojai Community Bank has $110 million in assets and three locations to serve Ojai and Santa Paula.
