Santa Paula FFA members are Champions at Fair

Jill Abbiatti has Reserve Grand Champion Lamb “Poof,” the lamb raised by Jill Abbiatti of the Santa Paula FFA won Reserve Grand Champion at the Ventura County Fair. Poof weighs in at 144 pounds. This was Abbiatti’s third year at the fair. The Santa Paula High School graduate will be attending Ventura College this fall. She is the daughter of Marlin and Cherie Abbiatti.Ande Murphy and “Comet” win Reserve Grand ChampionAnde Murphy, a member of the Santa Paula FFA, took her 1,220-pound heifer “Comet” to the fair and came away with the Reserve Grand Champion ribbon. This was Ande’s second year to raise a heifer and her ninth year at the fair. She is a junior at Santa Paula High School and the daughter of Gail Murphy and Martin Solis.
