Heritage Hardware Shopping Giveaway winner takes home $1,000 in merchandise

In Santa Paula, summer just got a little greener for Heritage Hardware customer James Lewis. On July 1, Lewis was chosen as the winner of the Heritage Hardware $1,000 Shopping Giveaway. His entry was selected at random from the more than 800 entries submitted to the store between March 1 and May 31, 2008.
Lewis, noting, “I never win anything,” entered the drawing at the urging of store supervisor JoAnn Foster. So he was quite surprised when notified by Heritage Hardware owner Brenda Padgett that he had won. James and his wife Marlene “came right down” to pick up a catalog and start making their selections.
“Heritage Hardware is delighted to provide one of its loyal customers with the opportunity to make their home projects a little more exciting,” said Padgett. “Everyone has a few extra chores this time of year, and we are glad that Mr. Lewis was able to choose whatever he needed to get his jobs done.”
Padgett added, “We want to thank all those who entered the giveaway for their participation.” Heritage Hardware plans to have two Shopping Spree drawings every year.
Heritage Hardware is affiliated with Doitbest Corp. and is located at 568C W. Main St. in the Vons Shopping Center. A new outdoor lumber and garden center has been added recently, and Padgett invites everyone to “come by and check out the gorgeous plants and trees we have available.” The center also carries a selection of lumber and drywall lengths.
Heritage Hardware will be holding a Grand Opening to celebrate the lumber and garden center addition the weekend of August 30-31. Padgett invites the community to “please come by and join us – we’ll have drawings and lots of fun.”
