All Santa Paula Union High School classes from the 60s are invited to join the Class of 66 in celebrating most of their class turning 60 this year in a fun afternoon social and birthday party at Steckel Park.
All Santa Paula Union High School classes from the 60s are invited to join the Class of 66 in celebrating most of their class turning 60 this year in a fun afternoon social and birthday party at Steckel Park. BBQ tri-tip, chicken, ribs and hot-links, chili, birthday cake, plates and utensils provided by 66.
Everyone is asked to bring a side dish or favorite salad to share. Please BYOB. This years event is being coordinated by 66 classmates Dick Yamamoto, Leo Guiterrez, Sally Cook, Olga Castro, Victor Espinosa, Marsha Cavender and Jeff Price. There will be a special recognition of classmate Gerry Griffin and a special guest, popular Isbell teacher and water sports coach Warren Glaser will be there. Be sure to let classmates know, and we are putting an event reminder on local cable Channel 10.
The gathering will be at Steckel Park Group Area #1, the first large group picnic ramada, left at the first entrance to the park (coming from SP). There is a large grassy area next to the picnic site, so bring lawn sports gear, and the baseball field is near by. The County charges a $4 entrance fee, additional parking on right by the aviary.
No charge to join us, but please drop a note or call that you are planning to attend, so we can buy enough food. We ask that you RSVP by e-mail or telephone before Wednesday, August 20th with your name and how many will be in your group to or by telephone to Jeff Price at (805) 278-9201 and leave a message.
