Emilio Z. Lazaro
Emilio Z. Lazaro passed away on August 1, 2008. He was a resident of Ventura County for 22 years.
Emilio enjoyed being around his family and friends, and also enjoyed watching his favorite soccer team Las Chivas.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Eusebio Zacarias and Estanilao Lazaro; and grandmothers, Maria Villalpando and Asuncion Fulgencio. He is survived by his wife, Lina Lazaro, father Roberto Lazaro, mother Maria Lazaro, three brothers, six sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Skillin Carroll Chapel, with a rosary commencing at 7 p.m. A mass will be held on Thursday, August 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church. Interment will follow immediately at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.

William Jack Simons
William Jack Simons, age 84, of Fort Scott, Kansas, died early Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. He was born March 4, 1924 in Richards, Missouri, the son of Alva C. Simons and Jessie A. Proctor Simons.
Jack was a graduate of Fort Scott High School. He served during World War II in the United States Air Force as a machine gunner on the B-25 aircraft. He served mostly in the South Pacific.
On November 1, 1945 he married Welcome (Becky) Floyd in Fort Scott. The couple moved to Santa Paula in 1949. He managed the Thille Ranches, which raised various citrus.
The couple returned to Fort Scott in 1977. He joined with his brother, Richard, as self-employed carpenters. His hobbies included woodworking and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Becky, of the home; two sons, Jack Simons Jr. and wife Cheryl of Mound City, Kansas, and Clay Simons of Fort Scott; and one daughter, Connie Seabolt of Redfield Kansas. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jeanne Davis; a brother, Richard Simons; and a sister, Louise Payne.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 7 in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel, Fort Scott, Kansas. Military Honors will be conducted by the Olson Frary Burkhart Post #1165 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorials are suggested to the Post #1165 V.F.W. and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Timothy G. Eubanks
1952-2008
Timothy G. Eubanks, 56, of Santa Paula, passed away July 28, 2008, at home with his family, following a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Eubanks, son Tim Eubanks, daughter Hilary Eubanks, and brother, Terry Eubanks.
