Time to sign up for Mupu 4-H for 2008-2009

Mupu 4-H will be taking enrollments for the 2008-2009 4-H year on Monday, May 12th at 6:30 p.m.
Mupu 4-H will be taking enrollments for the 2008-2009 4-H year on Monday, May 12th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the church on the corner of Harvard Boulevard and Steckel Drive, next door to Taco Bell. Students need to bring a parent to sign enrollment forms.
4-H is open to students from kindergarten through high school. Members need to be 9 years old or in 4th grade by Jan 1, 2009 to raise a lamb, pig, steer, or heifer for the Ventura County Fair.
Enrollment fees are $10 for members that sign up by June 15th. After June 30th enrollment fees will be $28.
Mupu 4-H offers many projects: hiking, cooking, rocketry, arts and crafts, rabbits, chickens, cavies, and turkeys. New members can also sign up to raise a lamb, pig, steer or heifer for the 2009 Ventura County Fair. (It is too late to sign up to raise an animal for the 2008 Ventura County Fair.)
Mupu 4-H is also looking for new leaders. The county 4-H office offers training for all new leaders. If you have a skill to share, come to the meeting for more information.
