Ventura County Community Foundation’s Limoneira Foundation Fund has awarded a $400 grant to Blanchard Community Library’s adult reading program, FLAIR.

Ventura County Community Foundation’s Limoneira Foundation Fund has awarded a $400 grant to Blanchard Community Library’s adult reading program, FLAIR.FLAIR’s mission is to teach English reading, writing, math and job market skills by providing one-to-one volunteer tutoring for adults who need instruction in all academic areas in order to be more competitive in the job market. In addition to academics, we also offer an ESL program using small classes, tutors, English tapes and computer software.
The Ventura County Community Foundation is a charitable foundation committed to promoting and enabling philanthropy, building long-term capital to benefit Ventura County. Its four primary roles are to be a careful steward of the funds entrusted to its care, a long term partner dedicated to donor intent, an effective grantmaker focusing on the needs of non-profits and of the community, and a community leader and convener, focusing on the common good.
