Local employers have the opportunity to be updated on the latest state wage and hour laws that will affect their business operations. Lou Cappadona of Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, Ventura County’s largest law firm, and Dan Cornet, senior deputy labor commissioner, will speak at the Wage & Hour half-day seminar sponsored by The East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC). The event will be held 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, May 3, at The Palm Garden Hotel, 495 North Ventu Park Road, Thousand Oaks.“The wage and hour laws apply to all employers, even those with just one employee. They are constantly evolving and it is imperative that employers are updated on the changes,” Cappadona said. “This seminar is a great opportunity for employers to learn about these updates directly from our senior deputy labor commissioner and a management labor lawyer.”Cost for the seminar, walk-in registration is $55 for members and $65 for non-members.
