Five arrested for suspicion of drug possession, sales

Two special Santa Paula Police teams arrested five people at a house on Friday and found drugs – specifically “Ice” methamphetamine - readied for sale, according to a SPPD spokesman.

Gary Marshall said the arrests occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the 1000 block of Woodland Drive.Members of the SPPD Crime Suppression Team, SPPD detectives, the SPPD Special Response Team and K-9s served a narcotics search warrant leading to the arrests.“The search warrant was obtained after a lengthy investigation which included controlled purchases from the residence,” said Sgt. Marshall. “Two controlled buys were made in the house, the accepted minimum,” required by the District Attorney’s Office and the courts to obtain a search warrant.Officers found more than 25 grams of “Ice” methamphetamine packaged for sales inside the residence with a street value of over $2,000. Officers also seized more than $1,700 in cash from the house.Arrested as a result of the investigation were Robin Stevens and Marvin Millikan, both 48 and residents of Santa Paula. Stevens and Millikan were arrested on suspicion of possession for sales of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Also arrested was Anthony Caezza, 44, of Santa Paula, for a narcotics-related warrant and for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.Joe Manuel Solis, 41 of Santa Paula, was arrested for possession of less than one-ounce of marijuana and suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Victoria Mullins, a 27-year-old Ventura resident was also arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.All five were taken to the Santa Paula Police station where they were booked on the various charges.Stevens and Millikan were later transported to Ventura County Jail with bail set at $50,000 each. Caezza was also transported to Ventura County Jail with bail set at $15,000. Solis and Mullins were cited and released with a future court date.Sgt. Marshall said that on Saturday morning the SPPD was contacted by the brother of one of those arrested who asked officers to check the Santa Paula home of their parents, who are out of town.“We go in there and sure enough there’s this gal on probation,” inside the parents’ home.“Officers escorted her from the house,” noted Sgt. Marshall.
