Highway 126 rollover requires
heavy rescue of trapped victim

Details were scarce at press deadline about a traffic accident Saturday that left one person trapped in an overturned vehicle on Highway 126 near Peck Road. The June 21 accident took place at about noon and required a heavy rescue with the Jaws of Life to free the trapped victim. Two Santa Paula Fire engines were the first emergency responders on the scene. Also responding was an ambulance and paramedics as well as automatic mutual aid from Ventura County Fire personnel. A portion of Highway 126 had to be closed during the incident.
