After soundly defeating Desert 11-0 Tuesday, the Lady Cardinal softball team is heading to Santa Monica Thursday to play St. Monica Catholic High School at Memorial Park.
Santa Paula pitcher Marissa Ramos struck out four Scorpion batters and allowed just three hits in five innings. The game was called in the 5th inning because of the Mercy Rule.
Directions to St. Monica High School:
(First Choice)
Take the 126 to I-5. Exit to the 405 and merge onto the I-10. From the I-10 take the Cloverfield Blvd exit 1C then turn right on Cloverfield Blvd. Next turn left onto Olympic Blvd. The field is in Memorial Park at 1401 Olympic Blvd.
(Second Choice)
Take the 126 to Wells Road toward Saticoy. Turn right on Santa Clara Ave., which becomes Rice Ave. N. Rice Ave. then becomes CA 1-South. Take the 1 to the I-10 (Santa Monica Fwy). Take the 20th St. Exit and turn left on 20th St. Then take a quick turn onto Olympic Blvd. Memorial Park will be on your right.
