Our beloved Angela Ruth Arguelles-Ast passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on September 18, 2013 at the age of 59, to join Our Lord Jesus Christ. Angela was born on May 13, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Santa Paula where she attended Santa Paula High School. She attended Ventura College, later marring Buddy Burchete. Angela was an Administrator in Ventura until she was tragically hospitalized for a ruptured aneurysm. Through the grace of God she survived, being left with a disability. With the help of her mother and family she continued to pursue college to focus on redeveloping her fine motor skills.
Through all her trials and struggles, Angela discovered the greatest gift of all, God’s eternal and unconditional love. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior; worshiping and rejoicing that God had given her a second chance in life. Angela faced many challenges throughout her life, yet she knew she was not alone when she dealt with the difficulties that came her way. Her Heavenly Father has been waiting with open arms.
Because Angela never had children of her own, she would frequently pick up her niece and nephews on the weekends. She enjoyed sculpting pottery, quilting, painting and stained glass. Angela was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed the company of family and friends, and was always ready for a good joke or game.
Angela is survived by her brother Ken (Pat) Arguelles, Sister-in-Law Debra Arguelles; Nieces Melissa Delgadillo , Lisa Byrd, Kristen Wreesman; Nephews: Michael, David, Jamie, Julian, Nathan Arguelles, Scott Cadenhead, Godson Ryan Delgadillo and life- long friends, Donna, Hortencia and Patricia.
Angela has joined her father and mother, Mike and Ruth Arguelles, her brother David Arguelles and nephew Justin Arguelles in heaven.
She touched many lives with her kindness, loving smile, forgiving heart, great sense of humor, and humble spirit. She was someone you could always count on to help you through problems and tough situations. She treated each person with love and kindness. Her light and spirit brightened everyone she met and her spirit will live on through her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.
