Ventura County Fair opens

“Boots, Barns & Banjos” opened with a flair Wednesday morning. From the moment people entered the Fairgrounds live music, contests, and exhibits were already underway.
Opening day included special admission day with admission $1 until 3:00 p.m.
The highlight of the day was the motorsports and the fireworks display.
Today, Friday, the Ventura County Fair and the Santa Ynez Chumash Indians present “Youth Day.” Youth day consists of various youth contests and exhibits, and provides parents with a great opportunity to enjoy the fair with their children. Children 12 and under Free.
On Saturday the annual Fair Parade steps out at 10 a.m. Also on Saturday will be a 5k and 1 mile run and walk starting at 9 a.m. In the evening the band Styx will appear.
On Sunday will be “Dia De La Familia” Day. This day celebrates the diverse culture with a concert by Ramon Ayala in the Grandstand Arena. 3:00 p.m.
Every night at 10:00 p.m. a fire works show will be staged for the young and old. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
