Isbell ASPIRE students learn about energy

Isbell Middle School ASPIRE students did a presentation Friday on the basics of energy. Walter Gamboa, acting as a mentor to the students, helped them prepare the presentation to other students after school. 

(Pictured l-r) Johnny Perez, Danny Bautista and Jesus Perez demonstrated the different aspects of energy and how it works. Students were asked to fill out questionnaires both before and after the presentation to see what they learned.

The ASPIRE program activities include reading, computers, storytelling, creative writing, math, homework tutorial help, sports, arts and crafts, self-esteem building activities, conflict resolution training, drug abuse awareness activities, games and recreation.
