Lady Cards shut down visiting Sharks, 56-21

The Lady Cardinal varsity had an easy time of it this week, defeating the visiting Malibu Sharks 56-21.

Lizzette Ramirez, 7 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, one 3 pointer. Cyerra Vasquez, 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal. Lauren Lazos, 4 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 free throws. Felicia Magana, 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, one 3 pointer. Sarah Jordan, 5 points, 1 rebound, one 3 pointer. Lupita Ramirez, 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, one 3 pointer. Sierra Blair, 2 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal. Kayla Stockton, 4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block.
The Lady Cards played well throughout the contest, leading 31-12 at half, 47-15 after 3, then ending 56-21 for the win, said coach Mark Blankenship. All the ladies played well and hard the entire game, buckled down on defense when needed and ran the offense well.
The JV girls ran over Malibu 45-3 in an earlier game.
