The boys’ soccer teams played at Pacifica and Grace Brethren last week
For the JV it was a tight first half at Pacifica where both sides had opportunities. The score at half was 0-0. With 15 minutes left in the second half, two defenders miscommunicated and a Pacifica player took advantage and scored. Pacifica won 1-0.
In the varsity game Santa Paula possessed the ball about 65% of the time, yet Pacifica scored 2 goals in the first half off two shots. Pacifica added a third goal in the second half but Jose Gomez scored on a free kick to make the final score 3-1. Eduardo Romero played well defensively.
At Grace Brethren the JV won 2-0. Joel Navarro scored both goals. Oscar Cancino and Nathan Jordan played well offensively and Jorge Magana played well defensively.
In the varsity: game the Cards won 7-1. Goals were scored by Pedro Magana, Javier Aguilar, Javier Gonzalez, Christian Cordova, Geovanni Acosta, Arturo Magana and Jose Carmen Magana.
