Santa Paula Police are looking for suspects in a daytime drive-by shooting that occurred Thursday and apparently left no one injured.
According to SPPD Sgt. Cody Madison, on December 13 at approximately 2:59 p.m. “police officers responded to the intersection of Santa Paula Street and Palm Avenue” after receiving reports of shots fired at the location. Witnesses told officers “Subjects in an older model white BMW had fired a weapon at subjects in an unknown model silver sedan.”
The witnesses said once the shots were fired the vehicles were last seen taking off westbound on Santa Paula Street traveling, said Madison, “at a high rate of speed.” An extensive search of the area was conducted, but police did not find the vehicles, suspects, or any victims of the shooting.
Madison asks “anyone who observes either vehicle” or has any information on the incident to please contact 911 or the Santa Paula Police Department at 525-4474. If the caller would prefer to remain anonymous, they can call the SPPD recorded Tip Hotline, 933-4253-1-#.
