The newly elected Santa Paula Unified School District board will hold its first meeting tonight.
The board will meet at the Santa Paula City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. The Ventura County Superintendent of Schools set the meeting. Additional agenda items, including discussion on formation guidelines for the new district.
The one undecided race for the final seat on the new Unified School District board has been decided.
After the November 6 balloting, Kelsey Stewart led Tim Hicks by one vote. With absentee ballots and provisional ballots still being counted. With some of those results in Hicks took a 30-vote lead over Stewart. That edge then widened to a 46-vote lead for Hicks. But, the final tally gave Stewart the seat by an 8-vote margin.
