Honoring its commitment to provide extended service for the families it serves and for the community, Charles Carroll Funeral Home announces it will host its annual non-denominational Candlelight Tribute of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m., December 15, in the chapel at 15 Teloma Dr. in Ventura. The service is open to the community.
In addition, the funeral home announced that it is a proud sponsor of the “Toys for Tots” toy drive for needy children in the community. New, unwrapped toys can be brought to the Candlelight Tribute of Remembrance or dropped off at their location anytime before December 22.
“As another year draws to a close we find ourselves suddenly in the midst of the holiday season. While this should be a joyous time filled with special memories, the holidays can be especially difficult after the loss of a loved one,” said Eric Dubois, manager at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, a local Dignity Memorial(r) provider. “At Charles Carroll Funeral Home, we are dedicated to helping families and friends continue in the healing process after a loss. Our Candlelight Tribute of Remembrance is a tradition that helps many in our community find comfort and support.”
The program will feature words by Pastor Dan Hull, comforting music and a Candle Lighting Ceremony. A special “Tree of Remembrance” will be in the funeral home foyer where guests can place a picture, poem, or special memento of a loved one in an ornament on the tree. Ornaments will be available for pick up after the holidays.
The service is offered at no charge to community members and their guests. For more information and to RSVP, please call (805) 642-8134.
