Glen City hosts K-9 for Red Ribbon Week

Glen City School had a visit from a Santa Paula Police officer Scott Varner and his K-9 partner Chevy. The officer was there to reinforce the message from Red Ribbon Week, which is “Just Say No” to drugs. 

Varner talked to the kids about the importance of not taking drugs or alcohol. Afterwards the children got to ask him questions about Chevy.

Red Ribbon Week began after the kidnapping and murder of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena in 1985 in Mexico.
