Tuesday, November 13, 7:00 PM at the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula, join us for a fun evening of Coffee, Dessert and “Plain” Old-Fashioned Flying Stories, Tales of Granddad - Ralph Dickenson Stories told by Bruce Dickenson.
After the St. Francis Dam disaster in 1928, local rancher Ralph Dickenson and a friend Dan Emmet decided some of the devastated area adjacent to the river would make a good location for an airport. Both had airstrips on their ranches and realized a single airport would greatly benefit the city of Santa Paula. Thus the Santa Paula Airport was born.
Bruce will share flying stories “Tales of Granddad”. Come and learn some valuable history of the Santa Paula Airport!
