SPHS teacher Alex Flores named homecoming Grand Marshal

Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor Alex Flores has been chosen as Grand Marshal for today’s Santa Paula High School Homecoming parade.

Flores, who has been teaching for 13 years said that after those years he’s been fortunate enough to develop as a teacher and an FFA advisor.  “I continue to work hard towards accomplishing our goals and make the necessary changes and improvements along the way to make our program better,” he said.  

Flores added, “I am honored to have been nominated for the 2012-2013 Homecoming Grand Marshal.  I am humbled by this recognition and I truly believe I could have made it this far without the help of our students, parents, teachers, administration and community.  This recognition has allowed me to reflect on how much I love what I do.  I continue to provide students with opportunities to make the best of their high school years.”

Today’s parade starts at 3:30 p.m. downtown on Main Street.
