Robert “Bob” Bowman
Robert “Bob” Bowman, 76, peacefully passed away on August 11, 2012 in Santa Barbara, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Pasadena on July 9, 1936. He graduated from Monrovia Duarte High School to become a successful building contractor in the Arcadia area. He later moved to Santa Paula and opened a car wash business. Upon retirement, he resided in Carpinteria.
Bob was deeply loved and cherished by many. The passion he had in sharing his wisdom, humor and love with his family and friends was extraordinary.
“Poppy” will be deeply missed by his family, including: his beautiful wife of 55 years, Carole; his four children, Karin (Pat), Ted (Kelley), Shelly (Eric), and Bruce (Julie); his 13 grandchildren; his siblings, Janice, Vicki and Don; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a fundraiser at Bob’s car wash in Santa Paula on Sept 8th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Santa Paula High School sports programs.
“Our Poppy” will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
Jerry Douglas Dunham
Jerry Douglas Dunham, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at home surrounded by family.
Jerry was preceded in death by both parents, his stepfather, two sisters, a baby brother and a niece. He is survived by his wife Denise (Kathie), daughter Mary Kay, and his two grandsons Douglas and Marshall, all of Ventura. He is also survived by five sisters, Nancy of Santa Paula, Becky of Oregon, Tina of Port Hueneme, Judy and Karla of Tulare County, and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephew, great nieces and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Life Way Baptist Church, 673 W. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, with Pastor Bob Walpole officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jerry’s name may be sent to the Robert Rey Garcia Jr. Funeral Svcs., 830 E. Santa Paula Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060 C/O Robert Garcia.
