Schools celebrate Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday

Thelma Bedell Elementary School, as well as other schools in the Santa Paula Elementary School District marked the 108th birthday of Dr. Seuss last week. (Above) Kindergarten teacher Mabel Valenzuela (Thing 1) helps children with their hats.
Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904 -1991) was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist most widely known for his children’s books written under the pen names Dr. Seuss. Others helping with the activities included Randy Miller (3rd grade Teacher), Lydia Olivo (2nd grade teacher), Irma Hernandez (Parent) and Nicole Gonzales (School Librarian).
