Geraldine Benson, age 76, of Santa Paula, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Santa Paula Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born on January 27, 1935 in McKinney, Texas.
A resident of Ventura County for over 50 years, Mrs. Benson was a housekeeper for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing online poker.
She was preceded in death by Eugene Benson and her parents. She is survived by Rocky and Sandra Pollock of Santa Paula, Pamela Benson of Santa Paula, Lynn and Cammie Benson of Fillmore and great-granddaughters Ariana, Sienna and Jasmine, Warren and Judy Van Wie of Santa Paula and grandsons Brandon, Lincoln Rocky and Emerson Van Wie, Eric and Elyse Pollock and great-granddaughter Coco, Nicholas Kitchens, Tiffany Garcia and great-grandsons Gabriel and Matthew, Joseph and Blanca Benson, Sarah Pollack and husband Saleem Vangroenou, Tye Pollock, Denise Benson, and “Beloved Dog Sweetie.”
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 at Bardsdale Cemetery.
