Santa visits ARC of Santa Paula annual celebration

ARC of Santa Paula held its annual Christmas celebration at the Iron Horse Restaurant last week. The Iron Horse picked up the tab for the feast, which included turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and salad. Santa and Mrs. Claus (AKA Albert Garabay and Yolanda Leslie) made a stop at the luncheon and handed out gifts. (Above) Santa gives a big hug to Juanita Serra.The presents were provided by the Santa Paula High School by the AVID 11th grade class and the National Honor Society, who also helped serve the ARC clients. The NHS advisor/teacher is Pam Thompson. Students participating were: Berenice Magana, Maribel Tobias, Luis Fregoso, Roque Magana, Laura Juarez, Jeanette Dubon, Andrea Toledo and Karina Hurtado. They represent over 50 students and staff who shopped for and purchased gifts.
