Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students and $12 for children 12 and under and can be reserved by calling the box office at 525-4645. Due to subject matter and language, this production is recommended for audiences 14 and above. In “Honour,” revered journalist Gus and ex-poet Honor have been married for thirty-two years. They had a perfect understanding of each other and the perfect life . . . until now. When Gus leaves her for a younger woman, one life collapses as another is renewed. Joanna Murray-Smith’s exquisitely delicate, witty and emotional play explores a marriage built on mutual love, understanding and companionship, and shows how nothing should be taken for granted when passion is aroused. The San Francisco Chronicle proclaims it “bracingly honest and deeply moving,” while the London Times found the play “intelligent, powerful and gripping.”
In the leading roles of Gus and Honor are SPTC veteran stage actors Ronald Rezac and Linda Livingston. Having played opposite each other in numerous productions, including “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Don Juan in Hell,” Rezac and Livingston will be joined on stage by Rena Petrello and Dawn Notagiacomo. The production is under the direction of David Ralphe, with Leslie Nichols producing. Karl Krause is the stage manager. For more information and tickets, call the box office at 525-4645.
