“Moonlight at the Ranch” will be presented by the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce on September 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The event takes place at the Limoneira Company ranch and will raise money to support the Santa Paula Police and Fire Departments and the Chamber. “Our Santa Paula Police and Fire Departments are in dire need of funds to better serve our community,” says John Blanchard, president/CEO of the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce. “The budgets of these two city departments have been stretched thin. Each department has come up with a ‘wish list’ of much needed items. Hopefully, with the money raised during the September 29 event, most of the items on the wish lists can be purchased.” The evening will include culinary dishes from more than 30 restaurants, wine from local vintners and microbrew beer. It will also feature live music and dancing, poetry from celebrated cowboy poet Mike Bradbury, skits from Santa Paula Theater Center, a silent auction, roping and blacksmithing demonstrations and strolling mariachis--all under the stars and a full moon.
Tickets for “Moonlight at the Ranch” are $50 per person. For more sponsorship information, contact Ken Brookes, 805-525-5561, info@santapaulachamber.com.
