Sports
Heritage Valley Aquatics recently held a Swim-a-Thon fundraiser at the SPHS pool. There were over 30 participants with the fastest five swimmers finishing their 200 lengths or 5000 yards in under 1 hour and 15 minutes. Michael Masteller was the first to finish in 1 hour 11 minutes. He was followed closely by brother Paul Masteller, Michael Forsyth, Daniel Bagdazian, and Jessica Torres. The funds raised will be used to purchase new swim equipment and uniforms for the swimmers.HVA would like to thank parents Katie Masteller, Anne Forsyth, and Debbie Sanchez for gathering food donations and prizes for the swimmers. We would also like to thank Round Table, Domino’s, Pizza Nostra, and Ameci’s for their contributions.Donations were also received from Fillmore Flower Shop, Bill Herrera- State Farm Insurance, and Wagon Wheel Bakery. Thank you to all those businesses and individuals who have made this a successful Swim-a-Thon.
