Free activities will be offered throughout Ag Classic. Learn how to plant a garden, make a scarecrow or see what exciting adventures there can be in agriculture as you learn a recipe or get your hands dirty planting a seedling. Vintage tractors and High Tech farm equipment will be displayed. Ag Classic 2007 is open Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free to the public.Tractor Pull is open from 5:30 pm until 8 pm. The Ventura County Fairgrounds will offer an educational and informative agricultural festival to our community with the First annual Ag Classic, to be held April 28-29, in celebration of Ventura County’s Agriculture Industry.
The Ventura County Fairgrounds will offer an educational and informative agricultural festival to our community with the First annual Ag Classic, to be held April 28-29, in celebration of Ventura County’s Agriculture Industry. The free event will showcase the agriculture industry in a way that is fun and informative. Ag Classic 2007 will provide a fun, educational experience for the whole family. Visitors from all over the state will have fun while learning about Ventura County’s Ag industry. They will touch, taste and experience the incredible world of Ventura County Agriculture. A world class Tractor Pull is scheduled for Saturday in the Pacific Arena. The fun also includes a theater zone where families will delight to the antics of Jack and the Beanstalk. The open air grower’s market will include produce tastings, and a chef-zone featuring local celebrity chefs who will give you some great ideas for cooking the fresh local produce visitors can purchase at the market. Billed as “Ventura County’s Premiere Agriculture Showcase,” Ag Classic 2007 will feature presentations and exhibits from industry leaders who will educate the community about the fertile, productive fields and other agricultural assets right here in our own back yard. Music, Dancing and Good Food are on tap for this Ag-extravaganza.
